Alone I’ve been, since the start of animation,
Alone I’ve been, since the edge of creation,
Alone I’ve been, since the touch of liberation,
Alone I’ve been, since the sight of association.

Alone I’ve been, when the stars fell apart,
Alone I’ve been, when they melded their hearts,
Alone I’ve been, when the dreaded word imparted,
Alone I’ve been, when they saw me fall apart.

Sticks and stones may break my bones,
Learnt have I, the art of being alone.
