Great Sea

To the land of Sea

My dearest have shunned me.
Relieve me, deliver me
From this different faith
O great sea,
Let your holy salt season the bitters of my life
I am weary of sorrows.
Let my life be written upon your tides
Whales of the sea shall know
The life I lived, I spend my days grinning
Forgiving, forgetting
My dearest have shunned me
O great sea.

Take me to stranger tides
Carry me with waves of solace
My dearest have shunned me,
Let the blue skies and waters become my companions
I live for pain, I live –
I live for tears,
They tear me apart time and again
Remembers me that my world’s apart are my equally yolked, revoked my wishes I’m speechless…

Yet I know that in the land of sea, the breeze speaks to me, and it says that dreams are wishes of thy heart.
