We’ve fought we’ve cried
But we made it through
Found unfailing solace
You in me and myself in you
Before long we’ll go
Our times will fall by
But you & me?
We’ll be alright
Not ’cause we’re done
Or for we’re keen to leave
Simply ’cause nothing will
Seem at all to have changed
Because we’ve already rested
in an ultimate peace
Over years and decades
We could only wish for more ease
